Frescos in the San Zeno Basilic in Verona, Italy

Since long time I wanted to know how the old frescos were made. The explanations I got from the web were always detail, but it was not until I visited the San Zeno Basilic located in Verona (Italy) that I really understood it.

In the church it is possible to see some very old frescos and thanks to the fact that are damaged it is possible to see the original stone wall and appreciate how wide is the lime plaster layer.

In other places there are frescos made on top of other older frescos, it mean an old restailyng of the church.

I was very happy after taking this pictures..
